Anti/post/de – kolonial – was sind koloniale Kontinuitäten?

In den letzten Jahren sind Begriffe wie Dekolonialisierung, postkoloniale Aufarbeitung und anti-kolonialer Widerstand auch in der deutschen Mehrheitsgesellschaft populärer geworden. Die Notwendigkeit der Thematisierung von kolonialen Kontinuitäten und der Unterstützung von Dekolonialisierungsprozessen ist inzwischen sogar von der aktuellen Bundesregierung benannt worden. Dennoch sind wir noch weit davon entfernt in einer dekolonialen Gesellschaft zu leben. Die Begriffe sind nicht immer klar abtrennbar und werden gleichzeitig oft durcheinandergeworfen. In der Veranstaltung wollen wir uns gemeinsam den verschiedenen Konzepten nähern und diskutieren aus welcher Positionierung heraus wir de-/post- oder anti-koloniale Praxis in unseren Lebens- und Arbeitsalltag integrieren können.
Die Veranstaltung findet unter der Leitung von Jena Samura und Sarah Böger statt.

Jena Samura (sie/keins) studiert derzeit Postcolonial Studies und forscht zu kolonialen Traumata. In ihrer Arbeit als freie Bildungsreferentin und Journalistin sind Jenas Schwerpunktthemen Deutsche Kolonialgeschichte sowie die Verknüpfung von Kolonialisierung mit Geschlechterkonstruktionen und Sexualität.
Sarah Böger (sie/they) arbeitet seit sieben Jahren im Bereich der (entwicklungs-)politischen Bildungsarbeit und im Kontext von Antidiskriminierung und diversitätsorientierter Organisationsentwicklung. Zuletzt führte sie die Antidiskriminierungsberatung der Universität Göttingen durch und arbeitet nun als freiberufliche Trainerin und Bildungsreferentin.
ENG: Anti/post/en – colonial – what are colonial continuities?
In recent years, terms such as decolonization, postcolonial reappraisal and anti-colonial resistance have also become more popular in the German majority society. The necessity of addressing colonial continuities and supporting decolonization processes has now even been named by the current German government. Nevertheless, we are still far from living in a decolonial society. The terms are not always clearly separable and at the same time often confused. In this event we want to approach the different concepts together and discuss from which positioning we can integrate de-/post- or anti-colonial practice into our everyday life and work.
The event will be led by Jena Samura and Sarah Böger.

Jena Samura (she/no pronoun) is currently studying Postcolonial Studies and researching colonial trauma. In her work as a freelance educational consultant and journalist, Jena's main topics are German colonial history and the link between colonization and gender constructions and sexuality.
Sarah Böger (she/they) has been working for seven years in the field of (development) political education and in the context of anti-discrimination and diversity-oriented organizational development. Most recently, she conducted anti-discrimination consulting at the University of Göttingen and now works as a freelance trainer and educational consultant.
